I am always looking for the ‘ultimate’
chocolate cake recipe. This one couldn’t be easier
and it never fails to delight. It comes from a book on
chocolate quite simply called ‘Chocolate’,
given to me by a friend who knows how much I love cookbooks.
It is best made the evening before, if possible.
200g (7 oz) good-quality dark chocolate
200g (7 oz) butter
250g (9 oz) sugar
5 eggs
1 tablespoon flour
icing sugar, to serve
Pre-heat the oven to 190ºC (375ºF).
